inspiration with Pro golfer Wally Armstrong
Join Narrow Gate for a morning of inspiration with our special guest Wally Armstrong on Friday October 8th, 2021 at 7:30 am at St. Ives Country Club in John’s Creek, GA.
Wally grew up in Indiana and went on to play golf for the University of Florida and then on to being a caddie for Gary Player. Upon Gary’s encouragement, Wally pursued his own career and played on the PGA tour himself for 10 years. His Best finish was 2nd place in the 1977 western open and his major career yielded Armstrong a fifth-place tie at the 1978 Masters Tournament. His 280 total in 1978 was a record low for a first-time Masters participant.
In Wally’s second career he has established a company teaching children the great game of golf in partnership with the Payne Stewart Family Foundation and motivational speaking engagements all over the world. Most notably was the book he co-authored with Ken Blanchard entitled “The Mulligan” which has been made into a movie and will be released the week after the 2022 Masters staring Tom Lehman and Pat Boone.
Wally says “Since entering into a personal companionship with God during my senior year at the University of Florida, it has been my passion to use this wonderful game of golf as a tool to introduce people to the love of God. Through the many metaphors and analogies that golf provides, I love to relate the game of golf to one’s relationship with Jesus. I have been so blessed to have traveled around the world and taught golf and shared my personal faith in Christ.”
Each man that registers will receive a complimentary breakfast and copy of the book “The Mulligan”.
