Equipping for life

Having so fond an affection for you, we were well-pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become very dear to us. – 1 Thessalonians 2:8, NASB

Our Mission

Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” – Matthew 4:19 NIV

Narrow Gate is investing in Disciples and Equipping Disciple Makers by Mirroring the Methods of Jesus.

We disciple with the message of freedom: freedom to live the abundant life; freedom to be all we are designed to be! Therefore, we invest our time, talents and treasures in others, year after year, to consistently mentor, train and coach disciples and disciple makers.

Our Ministry model

Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ. 1 Cor. 11:1, NASB

We host 3 year covenant groups with 4-6 believers each. Through our Apprentice of Jesus Curriculum, we are using the methods and teachings of Jesus to assist disciples to re-order their lives according to the 4 Calls of God: Salvation, Lordship, Disciple, Purpose.

Our Co-Mission Institute provides Pastors and Lay Leaders intensive, individualized coaching to help them grow a thriving disciple for life framework within their existing church culture.

As Paul made three journeys to encourage, edify, and support his past disciples we know that a “Follow-Up” system is necessary to multiply Disciples of Jesus to the 4th Generation.

Impact Stories

“Narrow Gate’s practical approach to disciple making has changed my life and the way I do ministry. I am now equipped and determined to live out the great commission of making disciples of Jesus.” – Pastor Mark Danzey

“I was on the edge of burnout as a pastor when I came into Narrow Gate’s discipleship plan. Now I feel I have a new vision as a disciple maker.”  Pastor David Sanders

“Being in a discipleship group has been life transforming. My relationships with my family, friends and most importantly Jesus Christ have deepened because of the time spent with my group praying, studying, serving and sharing life together”  Beth Tanzy, Co-Founder of Camp Lighthouse

“The greatest joys I’ve received in life have always been when I did something that made a positive, lasting difference in the life of someone else. There is no greater good we can do for others than to share with them the good news of Jesus Christ; which is exactly what we do, in both words and actions, when we disciple others to be disciple-makers of Jesus.”  Chuck McElroy

Five years ago, I was introduced to Covenant Groups through Mark Danzey’s ministry. It was life-changing. I felt like I had been immersed into a real-life experience of John Wesley’s “band.”  – Sergei Nikolaev, President of Moscow Theological Seminary

“Bill and Narrow Gate guided me to find my purpose, equipping men to be Disciples. They provided me with the tools and confidence I needed to pursue that mission.” – Butch Nicholson

“I am committed to the Narrow Gate ministry for the following reasons. I have witnessed that Christ’s church in America has been declining in attendance, membership and influence in our society for several decades. I strongly believe that Narrow Gate’s focus on using Jesus’ methods of Discipling using a Master to Apprentice relationship with his key disciples is the answer to making his Church relevant, integral and indispensable in our society again!” – Doug Niman

“Disciple-making…this is my life now!”  Pastor David Laycock

“One of the most misguided assumptions in the church today is that discipleship is just one among many programs a church can offer. But discipleship isn’t a program.  It’s a way of life, and it’s the basis for who we are and what we do as the Church.  Corporate worship, personal devotion, witness and evangelism, justice and local mission are all rooted in making disciples of Jesus and participating together in God’s mission to the world in the power of the Spirit.Rev.
